Halloween: Chris Brown and Co. go as the Taliban
Oh, Chris Brown.
Good looking, talented, but also the King of Jerk City.
And we know Halloween is a free pass for dressing up as a Megaf***.
But with those factors combined – as we can see below, where Chris and his cronies are dressed as Taliban – it’s just the jewel in the crown of woeful, abhorrent, awesomely bad decision making.
There’s a publicist crying somewhere.
Yep. Ol’ Controversy-Chris donned a turban and (what we assume is a fake?) rifle, and went as an Arab terrorist for Halloween.
Then he tweeted a picture of it.
While undoubtedly a talented artist, it’s hard to justify forking out one’s hard-earned money to fund this.
Joking aside, what does Mr. Brown want here?
More ‘haters outside the club’?
To show us he’s down with full-blown terrorism?
Is domestic abuse too small town for Team Breezy?
His mum and fellow social-networker Joyce Hawkins tweeted in her son’s defense: HALLOWEEN IS FOR FUN NOTHING MORE THAN JUST FUN. GET A LIFE PLEASE
Some reader comments on a Huffington Post report, seemed to concur.
JQ53 said: It’s Halloween and it was a costume!!!! Lighten up people
Heather Halphen: Its Halloween, get over it!
I don’t see you complaining about people dressing up as rapists, murderers, or demons
Whizkid14 said: I saw the tweet! SO WHAT? When did he say he was DRESSED AS A TERRORIST? You of course assume that anyone dressed in ARABIC GARB is a TERRORIST! It says more about your train of thought than it does his!
Err… and the rifle, wizkid?
Other less constructive commenters included ChaCubed: Did Rhianna dress as a suicide bomber in a burqa?
Yet others disagreed.
Broomauline said: I can see why it’s offensive, since there is still a war going on and a lot of civilian lives were lost due to terrorism by the Taliban. Not to mention all the lives of American soldiers lost fighting in the war. So in that sense, it is insulting. Just as anyone who were to dress up as Hitler, or a KKK member would be offensive…considering the history of those figures. But Halloween is about dressing up.
Tashia Zeigler said: Stop dressing up as an ethnic/racial/religious group. That is not a Halloween costume. White people in blackface is not a Halloween costume. Black people in long beards and turbans (with guns and ammo?!?) is not a costume. Quit it.
jcc616 said: He should have come in a “wife beater” T-shirt. Now that would be funny.
We can all agree, Chris – you don’t need a costume to go as one of the most disrespectful human beings ever.
What do you think: take a stand or ignore his noise and, in the words of Jay Z Get That Dirt Off Yo Shoulder?
